Janai, Me, and Keira tubing
On our last evening at the lake, Rob and I went on one last fishing trip with his dad and neice Malea. The fish were biting like crazy and within 2 hours we had 15 salmon! (Plus 2 huge carp, just sayin'). Our freezer is full and we are happy!!
Rob gutting as he shows off the lineup.
We left the lake on Sunday and went back to Sunnyside. Rob and I then went up to Yakima to see Lindsey Clement, who we had not seen since before her mission 2 years ago! We were so happy to see her and meet her fiance Thomas. Then, Rob went back to Sunnyside and let me stay for a sleepover with Lindsey, just like the good ol' days. We had a delicious Ron's ice cream cone, then brought pillows and sleeping bags over to the Kimzey's trampoline to sleep! We used to do that a lot when we were teenagers. . . show up on the Kimzey's trampoline and have sleepovers, without telling them of course! They would usually find out by morning and sometimes even invite us in for breakfast. It was just a random old thing we'd do for fun. So anyway, we figured they would for sure not expect it now that we are adults. . . and so we had to do it. They were still awake and found us, and it was good to see them. We forgot to take pictures of our sleepover, but took a few gross morning ones the next day.

I also got the chance to see Lindsey Smith while I was in Yakima, along with Carly and Brittany Wilson! On Monday, we floated the river in Yakima. Rob and his sisters came up and met me, my sister Katie, and Roger and we had a fun float trip. Another fun time we forgot to take pictures of! After a delicious dinner at Amber and Steve's house that night, it was already time to head back to Rexburg the next morning. We wish we could have stayed a little longer and seen more people, but we were really happy with how our trip went.
Also, our exciting news: Rob got accepted to both chiropractic schools he applied to! He finished his applications to his top 2 choices just a few weeks ago and we were planning on applying to a few more, but while we were in Sunnyside, Rob received his acceptance letter to Western States in Portland, OR. . . our top choice. When we got back to Rexburg, we found his second acceptance letter, from Palmer Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. We are so excited and relieved to be able to start making plans now! We are almost positive we will be living in Portland starting the beginning of October 2010. Good job Robby!
Stay tuned for Vacation #2!
