October

October photo dump

We started the month with a trip to the Children's Museum. I can't believe we've lived here so long and hadn't been there before. The boys loved it!

My parents came into town for a day after making a spontaneous trip to Yakima. We were so glad they were able to visit! We forgot to take more pictures though. (Truman was a sick boy that weekend. He started a recurring pattern of wheezing and difficulty breathing after getting a cold. After the most recent episode last weekend, it was determined he likely has Asthma, and is now taking daily medicine for it.)
Collin doing his puzzles with Grandpa.
His new favorite pastime. He asks to do puzzles every day, and puts together every puzzle we have. Then sometimes takes them apart and does them again.

Neon Run:
We ran in the Neon Run with my niece Annika and had a blast! It was a 5k at night time and everyone wore glowsticks and neon paint, and they threw glow in the dark stuff on us at stations during the run. Collin loved it! It was the perfect race to take him on with us. I think his favorite part was on the way to the race, we were inching along in traffic, and right after getting off the freeway, Collin started freaking out saying "Potty!" Traffic was completely stopped. I had no choice but to frantically get him out of his seat and run to the nearest tree. He thought it was pretty fun and later asked to do it again.

Katie and Scout's visit
Katie and Scout came for a week, and it was so much fun! We finally got to meet cute little Scout. She seemed so little next to my "babies"! Collin couldn't get enough of her and still talks about "baby Cout." While they were here, we did a little shopping, ate at food carts, went to Roloff Farms and Voodoo Donuts, and went to Laurel and Rob's house.

We wanted to make one last trip here before we move and it was fun to go with Katie and Scout. Collin loved the little "pumpkin house" display, and though we were excited to bring him to the petting zoo area, he wanted nothing to do with the animals this time. I tried to convince him to pet the sheep and told him, "It's nice and soft!" and he said, "No, it's mean. And dirty." I always love Pumpkin Patch pictures, and we took a lot!

Halloween
We had a little skunk, frog, and dinosaur this year (or sometimes Collin would say his costume was a crocodile, but the "roar" was the same either way). Collin was really into it and loved getting dressed up and going to the church party and trick-or-treating. And the twins discovered candy, so they had a great time too. We went to the cutest neighborhood in Fairview that goes all out for Halloween. Tons of awesome decorations, and thousands of trick-or-treaters! (Side note, we didn't get a picture of our bat jack-o-lantern, but Collin had fun helping Rob carve it, and was mostly excited about watching it decay after Halloween. We had to accommodate his scientific interests of course, so we kept the moldy pumpkin on our doorstep until just today, after weeks of Collin asking if it had yet decayed.)
Babies at the ward Halloween party
Elliott cracks me up. He likes to just randomly lay down on the floor sometimes and thinks it's funny.

These boys seemed to already know to try getting into the candy. They especially loved the Reese's.
